Sarah Morris was out walking her own rescue dog, Percy, one day when she came across Morris walking across a major highway. He was totally emaciated and dehydrated, and had a TVT (transmissible venereal tumour) – a very common problem among street dogs.
Morris went to stay with the vet for 6 weeks, where he was treated for his TVT with weekly chemotherapy injections. He gradually put on weight. After that, he was placed with a foster family who loved him so much they were planning to adopt him. They said he was a ‘one in a million’ dog.
Sadly, he passed away from a sudden heart attack one day. It was immensely sad to lose him after such progress had been made. The ordeals that he had endured in his life was just too much.
